Senior Civil/Structural Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team in Melbourne. This role is responsible for design, specification and services related to Civil and Structural Engineering, including drainage, foundation engineering and landslip remedial works. <br><br><b>Responsibilities</b> <br><ul><li> Develops designs for brownfields modification projects without supervision that comply with local laws and regulations, as well as industry and company codes, standards and practises <br></li><li> Undertakes the role of technical lead to a team of senior, junior and graduate engineers <br></li><li> Develop project risk registers defining key risks to start-up of the overall project and its constituent projects <br></li><li> Develop verification requirements to determine the probability of risk occurrence <br></li><li> Review results of verifications and advise on required mitigations to overcome foreseen risks to project start-up <br></li><li> Define requirements for and participate in assurance activities to assess effectiveness in closure of risks <br></li><li> Adjudicate in decision making for mitigation <br></li><li> Responsible of the provision of Civil and Structural Engineering services in support of project scope of work delivery <br></li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Must be degree qualified with at least 10 years' experience in discipline Civil/Structural Engineering </li><li> Experience shall include conceptual, front end, detailed design, and site construction experience </li><li> Capable of applying engineering techniques and makes decisions on engineering problems and methods </li><li> Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with the client <br></li><li> Field experience in construction and commissioning strongly preferred </li><li> Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise critical path deliverables </li><li> Ability to transfer skills and knowledge to other engineers including remote teams working in different cultures </li></ul><br> Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered fo r this role. <br><br>If you're an experienced Senior Civil/Structural Engineer, ready for your next project, then we are keen to hear from you today. <br><br>Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity! <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
