Procurement Advisor

<ul> <li><b>Job Description:</b> <ul> <li>The SCM Downstream team is currently looking for an individual to support the services procurement portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for the procurement activities supporting the Edmonton Refinery and capital projects portfolio.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <br> <br> <ul> <li><b>Minimum requirements:</b> <ul> <li>A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or equivalent</li> <li>Solid business insight and commercial skills with a continuous improvement mindset and the capability to get results</li> <li>Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build trust and respectful relationships with diverse groups to drive outstanding results and value creation</li> <li>Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <br> <br> <ul> <li><b>Responsibilities:</b> <ul> <li>Create, maintain and manage the entire lifecycle of purchase orders and other procurement documentation</li> <li>Ensure that commercial and business requirements are met, and contractor performance issues are addressed in a timely fashion</li> <li>Leverage knowledge and experience to address more complex procurement related issues</li> <li>Collaborate with a considerable number of internal and external stakeholders</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <br> <br> <ul> <li><b>Location and other Key Details:</b> <ul> <li><b>Full-time position located at the Edmonton Refinery in Sherwood Park, AB</b></li> <li>Hours of work are regular 40-hour week, Monday to Friday with some flexibility during Turnaround events</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <br> <br> <ul> <li><b>Other assets for consideration:</b> <ul> <li>Recognized professional designations and training (SCMP, PMP, Lean, Six-Sigma, etc.)</li> <li>Engineering, Construction and/or Maintenance background, particularly in oil and gas</li> <li>High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, and SAP (including Ariba, and Fieldglass) - <b>Fieldglass expertise will be considered a strong asset for this role</b></li> </ul> </li> </ul> <br><b>About Petroplan</b><br> <br>Petroplan is the trusted, specialist global Talent Solutions partner of choice for employers and professionals in the Energy sector.
