THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Director of Health Economics, Pricing and Outcomes Research for Australia, this is your chance to work across Janssen’s portfolio of products and lead the strategic development of health economic models, which are aligned with the reimbursement strategy and form part of a positive and compelling value proposition for reimbursement. You will also be working on early-stage pipeline products, in supporting reimbursement feasibility assessment to provide an early indication of modelled effectiveness and cost-effectiveness to inform the commercialization strategies of Janssen products. You’ll join an exciting, fast-paced, and high-profile team to bring innovative healthcare solutions that will change the lives of our patients. What you’ll do In this newly created role, you will: Lead the development of the Health Economic model for reimbursement submissions of innovative therapies Support Health Economic leads in early pipeline reimbursement feasibility assessments, partnering with New Product Commercialisation to provide key strategic inputs into the commercialization strategy of pipeline products Work cross functionally with Product Commercialisation, Outcomes Research, Medical and Commercial teams, to identify potential data gaps early to support cost-effectiveness value propositions for Janssen’s portfolio of products Coach and mentor HEOR colleagues in the development of their health economic modelling understanding of principles and concepts, and application of these. Represent the local operating company in internal global modelling meetings and forums and provide technical and strategic input into global health economics modelling approaches Contribute to the Outreach and Shaping of HTA and reimbursement policies through various means including Janssen External Affairs and Policy initiatives, engagement with Janssen Asia Pacific organisation and Global Market Access Team Qualifications Who you are: Tertiary Education (undergraduate degree) in science, health science, biostatistics, or economics. Proven expertise in the pharmaceutical industry (or equivalent) working in a health economic modelling role with PBAC/MSAC processes or similar HTA market Strong understanding of economic modelling concepts, principles and methodologies and with demonstrated application of skills in developing cost-effectiveness models Good understanding of the Australian healthcare system, and awareness of reimbursement policy environment Proficiency with modelling software such as Microsoft Excel and/or TreeAge Familiar with the practical application of clinical/economic instruments (e.g., utility and quality of life data) and clinical/medical concepts to enable modeling of simple to complex clinical pathways Closing date: Friday, 12th August 2022.
