«out The Role The Teller Trainer is responsible for providing procedural and informational training and technical support to new tellers and to other teller personnel as requested/assigned. Assists with and/or completes special projects as assigned by trainer’s supervisor and/or manager. Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public and other employees. Self-starter with ability to adapt to change, work under pressure and attention to detail. Position requires great customer service skills, positive attitude and expressed enthusiasm. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides initial standardized training for all teller staff including processing transactions accurately, efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. Coordinate new teller start dates and teller training dates with managers. Schedules use of training room and training equipment. Acts as a resource to tellers, teller supervisors, and teller managers to improve the quality of frontline service through training, coaching and accountability. Provides assistance and training with procedural, technical and informational questions for all teller staff. Areas of training and knowledge include, but are not limited to, cash handling, systems training, equipment use, teller documentation and requirements, and teller guidelines, procedures, and policies. Identifies and assigns appropriate training materials in various formats to support new hire success. Facilitate hands-on training to include cash handling, Vertex, Teller Capture, policies, applicable regulations, Jack Henry, BSA, Information Security, Robbery Training, 4 Sight and OnCourse classes. Works with operation and/or teller managers to provide on-going support to employees after the initial training period in order to assess progress and performance to standards, including development of training plans and accountability for completion. Coaches and trains new tellers to process transactions accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established policies and procedures. Develops and implements teller training programs to meet the needs of various branches and departments and various learning styles. Conducts training assessments and develops appropriate action plans. Provides front-line with subject matter expertise on complex transactions and issues. Identifies and/or develops appropriate training modules to improve the quality of the front-line employee, including customer service expectations. Works directly with operation and teller managers to prepare and deliver training and informational training presentations on all functional areas within teller departments. Maintains open communications with supervisor through sharing and accepting suggestions and ideas. Promotes team effort in all areas. Adjustments to change are made as necessary while maintaining a positive attitude Track required Branch and Department Training including Product Knowledge and Skills Development. Assist as necessary. Work directly with branch operations and / or teller managers in creating and providing input on approaches to maintaining a strong quality Customer Service Culture in every location. Maintains a strong knowledge of training approaches to best meet the needs of trainees with varying learning styles. Responsible to know and understand High Performance Growth banking program, knowledgeable enough to be seen by peers and supervisors as the source of information regarding the program and as a support person to help them achieve their expected goals. Travel to all First Security Bank locations to solicit training needs in operations department, requiring flexibility of scheduling. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date. About You QUALIFICATIONS: Two years banking experience preferred Two years related experience and or training preferred Equivalent combination of education and experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY: Knowledge of bank products and compliance Ability to work without supervision. Ability to work in a professional manner Knowledge of banking computer software Excellent customer and employee relations skills Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions Provide a high level of enthusiasm Ability to communicate effectively with all employees verbally and in writing. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be capable of up to 15% travel (e.g. 3.5 days/month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing. Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
