The Opportunity Working as part of a team to prepare and issue bills to the firm's clients. Proactively initiate the preparataion of billings to ensure all services are billed on a timely basis. What you will do - Regularly review Partner engagement summary and other relevant reports to ensure all unbilled fees and disbursements are billed in a timely manner. - Work with engagement teams to ensure accuracy of invoices and to obtain any required information to finalize invoices. Track all draft invoices sent for review or approval to ensure reasonable turnaround. - Prepare, finalize, and deliver client invoices in accordance with client agreements, budgets and firm billing terms and schedules, as applicable. - Ensure all third-party vendor and KPMG member-firm invoices are processed in a timely manner and charged back when applicable. Coordinate coding, approval, and payment of all third-party vendor and KPMG member-firm invoices to capture relevant billable expenses. - Ensure timely tracking of Partner account receivables to avoid late payment of invoices. - Act as a point of contact for Partners, Associates, Client Service Staff and Administrative Assistants on all billing-related matters. Respond to and resolve billing queries or issues on a day-to-day basis. - Proactively recommend changes in billing and collections processes and procedures to increase efficiency. - Review of Trust accounts reports and action items in accordance with policy and procedures. - Fulfill Service Level Agreements’ and metrics that are set to ensure tasks are addressed in a timely and quality manner, as applicable for the engagement team and clients that you serve. - Collaborate with peers on workload to ensure to ensure consistency and identification of issues, trends or areas that can be improved. What you bring to the role - College diploma; finance/accounting diploma preferred. - 5+ years’ experience working in a similar role. - Experience/expertise with a large enterprise resource planning billing system and CRM, in a professional services environment. Strong MS Excel skill is expected. - Proactive, self-starter that strives for quality and excellence. - Detail oriented, good analytical skills and a strong team player. - Ability to handle pressure/competing deadlines and to think on their feet. - Proven ability to meet set deadlines. - Ability to multi-task billing/calculations for multiple engagements. - Able to easily build relationships with all levels of staff. - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
