Project and Planning Coordinator

General Summary The planning Coordinator is responsible for the analysis and proper management of inventory to maximize the flow of operations and to ensure that they are carried out as quickly as possible to minimize costs according to the needs of the facility in the short and long term. Resource person for the operations clerks and various other departments. Ensures that operations run smoothly and that the strategy in place is respected by all. Primary Responsibilities Balance and distribute sku and inventory across area. Balance and distribute product according to established priorities Establish KPI and goal for area of responsibility Maintain and Optimize warehouse management system Optimize workspace in balance with client and operation demand With planning tool, data entry, prepare the work area for new product and volume growth With planning tool, data entry, monitor business variation vs budget Work closely with client and management team on supporting business growth Prepare and update performance reports; Coordinate weekly planning meeting; Prepare planning of work area change Maintain product and work area planning tools; Coordinate and provide support to sub-contractors and suppliers in regard to task related to the area enhancement and new technologies. Coordinate with Operations Planning Department (WAB) and other departments for upcoming planned work that might have an impact. Participate in QDM project Carry out all other tasks and responsibilities assigned by management. Education/Experience High School diploma or GED required. One (1) to two (2) years of experience with Warehouse Management System and in distribution or manufacturing environments. Advanced in the use Microsoft Office. Advanced in the use of Microsoft Excel to log, format and report. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Management. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Problem solving skills. Customer service driven. Strong team player. Working Conditions Work is performed in a general warehouse environment on a concrete surface with adequate lighting. Temperatures can be very hot during the summer months and very cold during the winter months. Workspace can be very dusty and occasionally noisy due to traffic of motorized vehicles operating.
