R&D Senior Test Automation Engineer This R&D Senior Test Automation Engineer role is accountable for the Strategy, Design & Test group sits across all the R&D Tech solution groups in GSK and will work directly with Product Directors and Product Teams to drive their testing strategy. The R&D Senior Test Automation Engineer has accountability across Product Teams to produce an automated evidence-based model for testing which will drive a change in culture across GSK R&D Tech. Working with the DevOps, Quality and UX teams you will establish a testing strategy to be adopted across the GSK R&D Tech Product Teams. You will have the opportunity to be the thought leader in Test and Test Automation and drive adoption of best practices to enable GSK R&D Tech’s Product Teams in their Agile transformation The Engineer is a “T-Shaped” role demonstrating both depth and breadth across key engineer competencies e.g. Software Development, Testing, DevOps, Lifecycle Management, etc. and the ability to successfully collaborate with experts from other subject domains. In this role you will… Establish a testing strategy which ensures a risk-based approach to testing and an evidence-based model for use across GSK R&D Tech Mentor and support Product Teams to achieve their maturity targets in the Test Capability and Maturity Model Be known as a technical thought leader for Test and Test Automation across Solution Groups and Third-Party Vendors, maintaining close links with those areas Champion the discipline of Testing within Product Teams and the uptake of Test-Driven Development/Design and Behaviour-Driven Development Establish and maintain a suite of qualified testing tools and test automation capability to meet GxP and non-GxP requirement for use within R&D Tech and wider in GSK Review, update and maintain the current testing framework ensuring processes and practices are modernised to deliver an agile testing model Drive adoption of automated testing tools and processes within Product Teams Work in partnership with other Strategy, Design & Test disciplines to ensure all are closely aligned on engagements with Product Teams Partner with Vaccines R&D Tech’s Strategic Partners to accelerate Test opportunities within Vaccines R&D Tech Mange niche testing capabilities from Strategic Partners.
