Transportation Dispatcher

Auto req ID: 279702BR Job Description This role is responsible for supporting a variety of tasks related to backfilling dispatchers OTR and Delivery Specialist drivers daily. The role will require the ability to multi-task, pay close attention to detail, process runs accurately and communicate across multiple back office processes and departments, as well as internal and external customers. In addition, the role will be the main point of coordination for dispatching drivers on their respective runs. Cross functional partnership and support with Warehouse GES personnel, Sales, customers, CSRs, HQ personnel and other key functions will be required. Work week is a rotating 4x10 schedule. Overtime may be required. Work times are subject to be variable based on related work. Key Responsibilities Award the daily GES OTR Board by 1800 Validate tractor assignments for drivers Participate in required Traffic Department related conference calls Regularly attend and participate in Tag and Run Right venues Act as liaison for all communications with the fleet garage Regularly attend and participate in 7-day Outlook meetings Take calls from drivers and resolve issues as needed Communicate with DC’s, Sales, store customers, Co-packers, and suppliers regarding any delays or driver schedule changes Print manifests for drivers Assist SCL’s with call-off coverage Interact with Warehouse on any delay or load change issues Communicate with Sales on any run changes Produce Driver work packets Manage all assigned Traffic metrics Covid-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment dependent on role and location.
