Our goal is to continuously grow the group's core research expertise in the area of signal and imaging processing, telemetry, modeling and inversion, high-performance computing, and AI-assisted data analytics, to maximize efficiency and values of the data, and to ensure the long-term success of Halliburton.<br> <br>Responsibilities<br><br>&bull;Subject matter expert in digital communication areas especially in digital modulation/demodulation, channel coding, synchronization and equalization, pulse shaping and match filter design.<br><br>&bull;Working knowledge of acoustic telemetry systems and accompanying signal processing algorithms.<br><br>&bull;Knowledge of detection and estimation theories.<br><br>&bull;Uses engineering techniques to predict performance of telemetry systems & develop adaptability, in changing conditions, and works with the multi-disciplinary team to mitigate system design risks.<br><br>&bull;Uses laboratory hardware equipment and software tools or applications to perform routine analysis to predict performance of electronic circuits or control systems and identifies design improvements by evaluating results.<br><br>&bull;Define, develop & test diagnostics for telemetry hardware.<br><br>&bull;Develops design documentation and presents to stakeholders in design reviews, as required by Halliburton lifecycle process, and seeks approval.<br><br>&bull;Develops creative/innovative solutions and new technology.<br><br>&bull;Serves as a mentor to junior technical staff personnel.<br> <br>Required Education and Skills<br><br>&bull;A MS or Ph.D. in electrical/electronic engineering or appropriate combination of education and experience.<br><br>&bull;A solid history of technical accomplishments.<br><br>&bull;A demonstrated ability to commercialize technology.<br><br>&bull;Demonstrated ability to conceive of and develop creative/innovative technology.<br><br>&bull;Over 7 years of successful industrial experience in similar environment is favorable.<br><br>&bull;Previous experience with development of acoustic telemetry systems is highly desirable.<br><br>&bull;Demonstrated teamwork, strong communication skills, and collaborative in complex projects.<br> <br>In addition, knowledge of digital circuit design, mixed signal circuit design, or signal conditioning design is a plus<br> <br>**Candidates having qualifications that exceed job requirements will receive consideration for higher-level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.<br> <br><b>Halliburton is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
