Workshop Materials Assistant (Fixed-Term, 9-12 months)

<b>Duties &amp; Responsibilities </b><br />

<b>Purpose </b><br />
<br />
The primary role of the Workshop Materials Assistant is to assist in the day-to-day Workshop operations in relation to ensuring all equipment and associated parts are available for Technicians daily work.<br />
<br />
In addition to this, this role is expected to assist with asset / system load-outs and general yard duties when required.<br />
<br />
<b>Functions </b><br />
<br />
ESSENTIAL</p>

<ul>
<li>Ensure daily delivery of all required assets and associated parts to Workshop</li>
<li>Daily review and update of Workshop Equipment Movement request sheet</li>
<li>Warehouse inventory part picking</li>
<li>Express issue workshop inventory parts</li>
<li>Manage and maintain workshop repair work orders and physical movement of equipment</li>
<li>Assist Yard Operative with loading/ unloading and moving of assets</li>
<li>Adopt and promote 6S and lean principals</li>
<li>Ensure that all work is performed to conform to company operating and maintenance standards and in accordance with all current legislation</li>
<li>Ensure that all tasks are performed using correct procedures,</li>
<li>Participate in daily toolbox talks for Workshop Group</li>
<li>Participate in observation system and STOP audits on a regular basis</li>
<li>Participate in safety training courses and initiatives</li>
<li>Participate in QHSE initiatives such as continuous improvement implementation and monitoring</li>
<li>Assist with any other duties as and when required</li>
</ul>

REQUIRED</p>

<ul>
<li>High School Education- STEM Focused standard grades</li>
<li>Knowledge of HSE fundamentals- COSHH, (SDS and COSHH Assessments), RAs and JSEAs</li>
<li>Demonstratable knowledge of MS Tools</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills (oral and written)</li>
</ul>

DESIRED</p>

<li>Experience in a Warehouse / Industrial environment</li>
<li>Overhead crane certification</li>
<li>Forklift Truck certification</li>
<li>Demonstratable awareness of 6S and lean principles</li>

<b>Working Conditions </b><br />

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be working indoors or outdoors during the day and occasionally at night. Climatic and environmental conditions at the job site may include indoor and outdoor climate with various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment etc. This may include an offshore environment where vessel movements may have an effect.<br />
