Commercial Manager

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br><b>Wood</b> is currently recruiting a Commercial Manager to hold overall responsibility for the commercial function within Wood's Service Lines in Norway. The role shall provide commercial and contractual support to Project Managers, ensuring that projects operate in accordance with both the Contract and Wood policies and procedures. Furthermore t he Commercial Manager will be responsible for applying risk and opportunity management in a manner that maximises the return. <br><br>The Commercial Manager is the gatekeeper of all commercial and contractual risk items within Wood in Norway. <br><br><b> RESPONSIBILITY AND TASKS: </b><br><ul><li> Establish and maintain robust control in relation to Change Management. Ensure the preparation and submission of variations and contract amendment requests are undertaken in accordance with contract requirements </li><li> Ensure that any necessary contractual notices are served in accordance with the terms of the contract </li><li> Provide support on all commercial issues within the Project, including resolving contractual issues with the client and suppliers (with necessary support from functions) </li><li> Complete monthly Project Commercial reviews and produce commercial reports </li><li> Ensure timely collection of cash </li><li> Ensure full compliance with Wood commercial procedures, reporting and corporate governance requirements </li><li> Lead role in resolving commercial issues </li><li> Support the commercial function as needed </li></ul><br><br><b> WORK TASKS: </b><br><ul><li>Cash collection</li><li>Manage the return</li><li>Contract administration</li><li>Negotiations with Clients and suppliers</li><li>Prepare VO/VOR's</li><li>Ensure the quality, establishment and updating of the commercial requirements</li><li>Participate in project planning and lead risk management</li><li>Look at project trends and analyses, and suggest / lead implementation of corrective actions</li><li>Manage KPI performance</li><li>Ensure that management information for the monthly and weekly reports are available in time</li></ul><br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b> QUALIFICTIONS: </b><br><ul><li> Minimum 3 years of legal, technical or finance education from college or university </li><li>Solid and relevant experience with of all tasks to be performed in commercial management</li><li>Language requirements: Must be fluent in English.
