<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><p><strong>We are currently seeking to appoint a Policy Officer within our fitness to practise policy and planning team and play a key role in developing policy related to our managing concerns strategy.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Salary: </strong>£28,682 - £31,263 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus benefits</p>
<p><strong>Location:</strong> Canary Wharf, London (hybrid working approach)</p>
<p><strong>Hours: </strong>35 hours per week, from 9.00 to 5.00, Monday to Friday</p>
<p><strong>The role</strong></p>
<p>This is an <strong>exciting opportunity</strong> to play an <strong>important role in changing our approach to managing concerns</strong> about pharmacy professionals. The role will work as part of the policy and planning team which is responsible for <strong>taking forward a programme of policy work linked to our published managing concerns strategy and delivery plan.</strong> The post holder will contribute to policy workstreams across a variety of related areas and will <strong>work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation.</strong></p>
<p><strong>The successful applicant will:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Support the <strong>design, development, and delivery of policies in line with the managing concerns strategy delivery plan</strong>.</li>
<li>Undertake <strong>high quality desk-based research, analysis and horizon scanning</strong> to support policy creation and progression.</li>
<li>Liaise with teams across the organisation, including the Data and Insight team and other operational teams, <strong>to make sure that sound evidence is collated, and operational considerations are reviewed to enhance the coordination and delivery of policy work.</strong></li>
<li>Possess a <strong>good understanding of the principles of policy making.</strong></li>
<li>Have <strong>excellent written and verbal communications skills</strong> and be able to <strong>work independently, prioritise effectively</strong> and work to deadlines.</li>
<li>Ideally be a graduate (or have equivalent experience) and should be able to <strong>demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of the demands of working within a statutory framework</strong>, regulatory or similar environment.</li>
