Supervisor Quality Control

Janssen Biologics is currently recruiting for a Supervisor in the QC Vaccines department. The department is responsible for testing of Adeno-related vaccines e.g. Covid , RSV and onboarding of advanced therapeutics e.g. Lentivirus. Within Janssen Supply Chain the Leiden QC laboratory ensures release, and stability testing of intermediate and final products (monoclonal antibodies and vaccines). Leiden QC is uniquely positioned as the worldwide HUB for Large Molecule Stability testing. The employee is acquainted with the annual company and division goals and is aware of how he/she can influence these through his/her performance. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities • Responsible for the efficient and effective functioning of the team including the planning, coordination and direct supervision of activities being conducted by team members. • Ensures that GMP/GLP guidelines, compliance best practices, EHSS regulations are followed by team members. • Ensure on time completion of related (testing) activities according to due dates and commitments, set priorities and manage work assignments. • Train, develop, coach and mentor direct reports. • Evaluates performance and provides opportunities for growth, conduct performance appraisals and ensure alignment of G&O of direct reports to the company objectives. • Recruitment and hiring of lab personnel, ensuring proper onboarding and training. • Act as primary contact for other teams/departments/external associates. • Escalate to higher management any issues with impact on deliverables. • Perform other work-related activities as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with 4-6 years related experience Ability to work with and lead others in a team environment.
