<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a <b> Instrumentation & Controls Engineer </b> for our Perth office. An immediate start is preferred and on offer is a permanent role. <br><br>Wood delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the oil and gas sector and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent producers, actively supporting operations in Western Australia, the Northern Territory, Kazakhstan, and Sakhalin. <br><br>Reporting to the Instrument & Controls Lead, you will be working collaboratively across disciplines on FEED, Execution and EPCM delivery focussed on brownfields Oil & Gas engineering design with the support of a small team, both locally and internationally. <br><br>Your responsibilities will also include: <br><ul><li> Taking ownership of discipline design commitments and requirements on a project </li><li> Ensuring deliverables are consistent, checked, accurate and presentable </li><li> Providing day to day services to the project </li></ul><br> Join us in the heart of Perth's CBD at Dexus Place - 240 St Georges Terrace, free 24/7 access to an exclusive onsite gym, superb end of trip facilities, coffee machines serving on demand and plenty of spaces to get creative. In addition, you will have access to remote and flexible working options, purchased annual leave and employee discount programs. <br><br>At Wood you will join an inclusive and diverse global community of inquisitive minds and recognised industry innovators, partnering to create new possibilities. <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b> You must be an Australian citizen or currently hold Permanent Residency (PR) and able to work lawfully in Australia without company sponsorship. </b> <br><br>Ideally, you will be a qualified engineer with a relevant Engineering degree ( Instrumentation / Electrical / Mechatronics) fro m a recognised institution, and have proven experience in a similar Instrument & Contols Engineer role within the Australian O&G sector working in an EPCM or Engineering office environment. <br><br>In addition you will have: <br><ul><li> Knowledge of SPI for the development of I&C engineering deliverables, control systems, shutdown PLC hardware and software design </li><li> Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (both international and Australian) </li><li> Proven experience managing risk during the design process consistent with technical and commercial requirements </li><li> Excellent analytical, literacy and numerical skills </li><li> Excellent communication skills with proven experience in client facing roles </li><li> Be prepared to undertake site visits either onshore / offshore </li><li> A
