Construction Manager

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Construction Manager to join our team in Sale. Reporting to the Assignment Manager, the successful applicant will be accountable for the overall contract construction, maintenance effort and commissioning strategy; including safety, planning, cost, and delivery of all field works on the Retrofit and Maintenance Contracts. The role will also be responsible for ensuring full construction integration to project delivery by encouraging regular engineering, procurement, and construction interface meetings. <br><br><b>Responsibilities</b> <br><ul><li> Accountable for supervising, organising and co-ordinating head office, onshore and offshore Retrofit construction, maintenance, and commissioning teams to provide adequate support in accordance with the Retrofit and Maintenance Contracts </li><li> Responsible for ensuring full construction integration to project delivery by encouraging regular engineering, procurement, and construction interface meetings </li><li> Ensure work pack and material delivery aligns with construction mobilisation </li><li> Provide construction expertise during FEED and EXECUTE project phases in the form of constructability reviews, scope estimating and ensuring the safest and most efficient construction methods have been adopted </li><li> Actively engages in Head Office, Sale office, onshore sites, and offshore site visits across the Retrofit portfolio </li><li> Engage with project teams to ensure correct level and sequence of Work Breakdown Structure adopted at project kick off </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Minimum 15 years' experience in construction management / supervision and general project engineering in oil and gas industry </li><li> Team leader demonstrating focus, enthusiasm, sensitivity, mentoring and coaching qualities </li><li> Proven experience in the management of office, onshore and offshore site construction, and commissioning teams </li><li> Excellent oral and written communication skills </li><li> Demonstrates effective delegation and team development with a focus on productivity and project integration </li><li> Ability to influence and challenge others to ensure project delivery aligned with the Retrofit organisation and Wood policies and procedures </li><li> Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others and coordinate multiple crews in various field locations </li></ul><br> Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role. <br><br>If you're an experienced Construction Manager ready for your next project, then we are keen to hear from you today. <br><br>Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity! <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
