EOI - Principal Piping Engineer - Stress

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently bidding for a major oil and gas project with one of ADNOC group of companies which is expected to be awarded soon. If successful, we would be looking to hire a <b>Principal Piping Engineer - Stress</b> to join our PMC team in Abu Dhabi. Below are some key responsibilities and duties; <br><br><b>Please note that at this stage, applications for this role are invited as an Expression of Interest (EOI) whilst opportunities are being fully determined.</b> <br><ul><li> To provide support to a project in all aspects of pipe stress engineering. </li><li> Manages discipline work to the required schedule and manpower allocation, including requesting personnel as identified by the plan, and day-to-day supervision of stress engineers on the project. </li><li> Planning, scheduling and execution of stress activities and deliverables, including manhour estimating when requested. </li><li> Perform pipe stress analysis and provide input to piping design, pipe supports and structural. </li><li> Ensure piping compliance with project specifications, as well as applicable code requirements and national / international standards. </li><li> Act as checker on stress related deliverables. </li><li> Coordinating with all disciplines (as necessary) in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring that other disciplines' input is incorporated. </li><li> Manage engineering deliverables issue and transmittal records. </li><li> Review Basis of Design (BOD) & Project Execution Plan (PEP). </li><li> Review relevant client provided data. </li><li> Checking project piping isometrics to ensure stress comments are incorporated. </li><li> Report on work status /problem areas/needs on a weekly basis. </li><li> Liaison with and reporting to Lead Pipe Stress Engineer </li><li> Responsible for the technical integrity of his deliverables. </li><li> Responsible for implementation of QA for the discipline on the project. </li><li> Ensure all aspects of the corporate document 'Operation of Piping Discipline </li><li> Project QA audits will verify implementation. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Bachelors Degree or equivalent in appropriate engineering subject. </li><li> Chartered engineer and member of appropriate engineering institution preferred. </li><li> Minimum twelve years of experience in O&G Industry </li><li> Open attitude. </li><li> Willingness to take on other tasks as requested and lead a team, but also have a flexible approach when required to work in small groups. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
