Lead Structural Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Structural Engineer join our team based from the client's Metropolitan Melbourne facilities. This is a lead engineering role, required to supervise a team and provide structural engineering subject matter expertise. <br><br><b> Responsibilities </b> <br><ul><li> Contributes to the provision of structural engineering services for a client </li><li> Produces structural engineering deliverables at a concept level without supervision that comply with local laws and regulations, as well as industry and company codes, standards and practises, including but not limited to drawings, reports and specifications </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Demonstrated ability to conceptualise, assess and develop structural designs from field data relevant to the local construction and physical environment </li><li> Proficient in SpaceGASS and Strand7 </li><li> Ability to develop briefs for third party structural consultants or site investigation companies to deliver inputs relative to the design project </li><li> Familiarity with construction methods and standards of local structural contractors and statutory authorities </li></ul><ul><li> Coordination of structural engineering studies </li><li> Feasibility and conceptual design studies </li><li> Documentation of assumptions and assessment of development risks for each option </li><li> Strong focus on safety in design </li><li> Ability to work independently </li><li> Excellent team management skills in a challenging work environment </li><li> Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential </li><li> Must convey a professional image with customers </li><li> Possess tertiary qualifications in Structural Engineering </li><li> Registered Professional Engineer (Victoria) preferred but not mandatory </li><li> Member of Engineer's Australia and Chartered Professional Engineer (or on path to achieving) </li><li> Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills </li></ul><br> Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role. <br><br>If you're an experienced Lead Structural Engineer, ready for your next project, then we are keen to hear from you today. <br><br>Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity! <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
