Lead Civil Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a <b>Lead </b><b>Civil Engineer </b>with strong appreciation and exposure to geotechnical engineering to join our team based from the client's Metropolitan Melbourne facilities. This is a lead engineering role, required to supervise a team and provide civil engineering subject matter expertise. <br><br><b> Responsibilities </b> <br><ul><li> Contributes to the provision of civil and geotechnical engineering services for a client </li><li> Produces civil engineering deliverables at a concept level without supervision that comply with local laws and regulations, as well as industry and company codes, standards and practises, including but not limited to drawings, reports and specifications </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Demonstrated ability to conceptualise, assess and develop civil designs from field data relevant to the local construction and physical environment </li><li> Ability to develop briefs for third party geotechnical consultants or site investigation companies to deliver inputs relative to the design project </li><li> Familiarity with construction methods and standards of local civil contractors and statutory authorities </li><li> Experience generating engineering estimates and quotations </li><li> Excellent team management skills in a challenging work environment </li><li> Effective presentation skills </li><li> Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential </li><li> Ability to build and sustain customer relationships </li><li> Must convey a professional image with customers </li><li> Possess tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering </li><li> Registered Professional Engineer (Victoria) preferred but not mandatory </li><li> Member of Engineer's Australia and Chartered Professional Engineer (or on path to achieving) </li></ul><br> Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role. <br><br>If you're an experienced Lead Civil Engineer, ready for your next project, then we are keen to hear from you today. <br><br>Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity! <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
