<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Instrumentation/Controls Engineer to join our team based from the client's Metropolitan Melbourne facilities. This is a lead engineering role, required to supervise a team and provide instrumentation/controls engineering subject matter expertise. <br><br><b> Responsibilities </b><br><ul><li> Provides instrumentation/controls engineering expertise to the client with a high ability to apply concept level engineering </li><li> Leads a high performing instrumentation/controls team on the design effort of a major project </li><li> Leads the creation of instrument specifications, control panel layouts, loop / schematic design, conduit/cable tray layouts, cable schedules, instrument location drawings, network architectures, instrument index/IO </li><li> Works with new product technologies associated with Control Systems and Safety Instrumented Systems and has the capability to estimate hardware design and implementation effort </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Experience generating study reports, scopes of work, equipment specifications and datasheets </li><li> Experience generating engineering estimates and quotations </li><li> Experience generating controls associated scopes, including control philosophies, functionalities, alarm & trip, SIL etc </li><li> Liaison with the other disciplines, clients' engineering and production personnel to ensure consistent basis for all input parameters </li><li> Coordination of Instrumentation & Control engineering studies </li><li> Feasibility and conceptual design studies </li><li> Documentation of assumptions and assessment of development risks for each option </li><li> Strong focus on safety in design </li><li> Ability to work independently </li><li> Excellent team management skills in a challenging work environment </li><li> Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential </li><li> Ability to build and sustain customer relationships </li><li> Must convey a professional image with customers </li><li> Familiar with applicable industry codes and processes </li><li> Relevant Engineering Degree (eligible for membership to Engineers Australia) </li><li> Registered Professional Engineer (Victoria) preferred but not mandatory </li></ul><br> Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role. <br><br>If you're an experienced Lead Instrumentation / Controls Engineer, ready for your next project, then we are keen to hear from you today. <br><br>Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
