<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveying Lead / Estimator to join our team based from the client's Metropolitan Melbourne facilities. This is a lead role, required to supervise a team and provide estimating subject matter expertise.<br><br><b> Responsibilities </b> <br><ul><li> Leads a high performing quantity surveying / estimating team on a major project </li><li> Provides quantity surveying / estimating expertise to the client with a high ability to apply this from concept level engineering and design deliverables and surveying assessments </li><li> Ensures that all project cost estimates are documented and auditable and that the operations estimating norms and estimating data is maintained and issued in a controlled manner </li><li> Contributes to the implementation of project estimating best practices </li><li> Develops and issues to relevant parties for approval / comment the Basis of Estimate to enable cost estimating to be developed </li><li> Develops and maintain project cost estimates in accordance with the Basis of Estimate, including scope of work, man-hour and materials estimates and documented assumptions </li><li> Participates in internal and client cost estimate reviews, coordinate comments and obtain estimate sign-off approval from relevant parties </li><li> Ensures client risk tolerances are applied to cost estimates as required </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Experience with implementation of bespoke estimating platforms </li><li> Proficiency with industry standard software including Microsoft suite </li><li> Thorough understanding of estimate classification classes </li><li> Ability to work independently </li><li> Excellent team management skills in a challenging work environment </li><li> Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential </li><li> Ability to build and sustain customer relationships </li><li> Must convey a professional image with customers </li><li> Demonstrated effective presentation, verbal, and written communication skills </li><li> Relevant degree or diploma or a trade background </li></ul><br> Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role. <br><br>If you're an experienced Quantity Surveying Lead / Estimator, ready for your next project, then we are keen to hear from you today. <br><br>Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity! <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
