<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Heavy Equipment Crane Operator with experience in the oil and gas industry. <br><br>The position is to work onshore Equatorial Guinea, on a rotational basis of 10-3 week, temporary assignment for 12 months. <br><ul><li> Operate a variety of material-moving equipment daily according to schedule and instruction from the Rigging and Lifting Supervisor, choosing and setting up the right crane, lift or hoist to complete each task safely and efficiently. </li><li> Move levers, depress buttons and foot pedals to operate and control the speed/direction of crane movement </li><li> Inspect machines and equipment daily, perform routine maintenance procedures and minor repairs as required and initiate additional repair requests from mechanics when necessary. </li><li> Control cranes, lifts and other equipment using standard operating procedures to ensure effective transportation of materials and safety for all personnel on site. </li><li> Perform net load calculations for crane specific lift plans, Fill and complete lift data for given lift scenarios </li><li> Create and update detailed log of material transportation operations, including information about type of material, movement locations and additional data requested by the Supervisor. </li><li> Listen to Rigging and Lifting Supervisor's plan prior to start of every shift, and complete all required tasks accurately and within assigned deadlines with limited supervision. </li><li> Maintain visual and radio contact with ground operators according to best practices and site safety regulations, and respond to questions and instructions clearly and quickly. </li><li> Provide additional support to other crane operators as necessary, including working overtime to complete tasks, operating several types of equipment and training or monitoring junior operators. </li><li> Required to work a reasonable amount of overtime in line with company operational requirements </li><li> Requirement to actively participate with positive input in all toolbox talks, safety meetings and the client's BCOB reporting program </li><li> The Employee commits and is obliged to render services in the position with the Company under the terms and conditions set forth in this Job Scope Description and to carry out the functions that the Company entrusts to him/her at any given time. </li><li> <b> Required to work in Inclement weather as required to meet safety critical tasks, operational and production requirements </b> </li><li> Actively show willingness to learn through structured Technical Training and on site coaching </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b>Minimum Qualifications:</b> <br><ul><li> High School Diploma / Grade 12 education or equivalent. </li><li> Qualified and current Crane Operator certificate </li><li> Qualified and current Rigger Level 2 certificate </li><li> Various Mobile Equipment Certificates </li><li> BOSIET Certificate </li></ul><br> <b>Industry Experience and knowledge:</b> <br><ul><li> Extensive experience on operating cranes and heavy equipment </li><li> Solid knowledge of all the Lifting Rigging Regulations </li><li> Solid working knowledge of all Mobile equipment </li><li> Some experience on Backhoe, Excavator, Stacker, Forklift and Tele handler </li><li> Microsoft Office - report writing </li><li> SAP - to be able to time write and close out work orders, produce pick lists etc. </li></ul><br> <b>Technical Skills:</b> <br><ul><li> Complete set work hours punctually without extended work breaks. This includes being on time for start of shift and attending toolbox talks in FRC Clothing with work boots on </li><li> Adhere to set lunch times without leaving before agreed times and being back on site as agreed after lunch break </li><li> Execute work tasks effectively and efficiently as per production targets set by supervision </li><li> Complete a minimum of 2 BCOB Cards per Month </li><li> Participate in 1 Group safety stop per week </li><li> Give a Reasonably amount of prior notice as to not effect business requirements for personal business day etc.(Emergency exceptions to have prior approval from Supervisor) </li><li> Contact Supervisor prior to start of shift if unable to attend work on scheduled time and day through phone call or text message </li><li> Show willingness to progress through technical training as required for the job role </li><li> Show willingness to progress through Task Leader training through Enrolment to classes, CBTs and Personal Study </li></ul><br> <b>Personal Attributes:</b> <br><ul><li> Competent in communicating in English language, verbal and written </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
