Principal Pipeline Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood's office in Calgary is currently recruiting for a <b>Principal Pipeline Engineer</b> for buried cross country pipelines to support our growth in the energy transition space. <br><br>Key Responsibilities <br><ul><li> Execute and ensure technical compliance, accuracy, quality and execution of all aspects of onshore pipeline design </li><li> Lead assigned engineers to provide the full range of pipeline services required for pipeline design </li><li> Carry out, review, approve and/or supervise study and design work </li><li> Develop, review, and take responsibility for the accuracy of detailed calculations and deliverables to which assigned </li><li> Provide technical advice and expertise for onshore pipeline design for CO2 and H2 pipelines </li><li> Provide technical expertise and support to business winning activities as required </li><li> Proven track record in a detailed design environments </li><li> Develop and review pipeline installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance analysis and procedures </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br>The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications: <br><ul><li> Degree or equivalent in Engineering or relevant Science subject, post graduate degrees will be an asset </li><li> Registered Professional Engineer in Alberta </li><li> Experienced in the execution of conceptual studies, optimization work and front-end engineering design </li><li> Have a solid track record of achievement in the pipeline environment in the oil and gas arena </li><li> Must be able to think conceptually, develop strategies to enhance pipeline expertise </li><li> Have extensive experience working in an EPCM or EPC environment </li><li> Be seen as a technical expert in pipeline engineering and will be able to coach and mentor others to similar levels of technical expertise </li><li> At least 30 years of experience with pipeline design and construction of large diameter pipelines </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
