The Role: Product Management Specialist, Financial Institutions The Team: The Desktop Business Development team is responsible for go-to-market initiatives, product strategy and data analytics to drive growth in the desktop business across various client segments. We work closely with internal stakeholders and clients to deliver product enhancements for user adoption. Internal Teams and divisions include Commercial, Platform, Client Services, and Marketing. The Impact: This position will play a key role supporting the development of the Capital IQ Pro desktop product across Financial Institution user-types. The Product Manager role offers exposure to all groups and opens doors for tremendous career opportunities within S&P Global. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the data analytics and reporting, critical to understanding the desktop business health along with identifying opportunities and risk. You will spend time creating management reports and business analytics based on data in our internal reporting systems, such as Salesforce, Einstein, Tableau and usage cube. The position will involve interfacing with commercial and clients to ensure that what we build drives real client value and deliver campaigns to impact increase in usage and ACV. Responsibilities: In this role, you will support the growth of our Financial Institutions desktop product offering by contributing to the product roadmap, data analytics, capturing and prioritizing requirements, and helping define the go-to-market strategy. Key activities include: Analyze and incorporate client feedback to drive product enhancements Data analytics and reporting to drive GTM campaigns and product strategy Partner with key internal stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Modeling, etc.) to create valuable content and tools, including thought leadership, webinars, models, and more Execution of critical projects, including client migrations, and product testing Be a subject matter expert to assist commercial and clients What We’re Looking For: BA/BS in finance, business, economics, technology, or other related field 5+ years of relevant work experience Strong knowledge of global financial markets, various financial institution workflows Highly dedicated, detail-oriented, and energetic personality, with the ability to work and thrive within a team environment Demonstrated ability to create and deliver complex solutions Demonstrable, directly related product development work experience. Familiarity with major data, research and analytics platforms a plus Excellent presentation skills – written and verbal. Ability to take on internal and external presentation responsibilities Demonstrated ability to initiate, define and deliver on key initiatives Uses conceptual and innovative thinking (i.e., identifying new/different solutions) to solve issues. Looks beyond immediate problems for wider implications and determines best path forward.
