PenFed is hiring a Research Support Processor at one of the following locations: Eugene, Oregon; Omaha, Nebraska. The primary purpose of this job is to efficiently process monetary and non-monetary account servicing maintenance requests for deposit and consumer loan products. The incumbent will support, and process servicing requests received via PenFed’s various delivery channels, including email, telephone, mail, or branch visit. Perform monetary and non-monetary account maintenance on all PenFed deposit and loan products Research and resolve a variety of account issues and inquiries related to deposit accounts, including certificate, share and checking accounts. Modify terms on loan and deposit products based on approved requests. Utilize a wide range of proprietary and vendor computer applications including DOS-based systems. Respond to inquiries from internal associates assisting members regarding person-to-person Western Union payments, deposit and certificates of deposit. Manage daily official check batch output, including print oversite and mailing preparation. Provide deposit and loan product assistance over the phone initiated in other departments and locations. Balance daily branch transactions. Work with accounting to reconcile any discrepancies. Handle a wide range of incoming and outgoing documents. Ensure proper management and retention of documents. Contact members via outbound phone call or email to clarify requests. Maintain knowledge of PenFed share and loan products, policies and procedures. Qualifications Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Associates Degree in a related field is preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a call center or financial services related position. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of financial institution structure, products, policies and procedures preferred. Supervisory Responsibility This position will not supervise employees. Licenses and Certifications There are no additional licenses and/or certifications required. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. *Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.* Travel Limited travel to various worksites is required.
