For more information, visit www.ethicon.com Purpose Under the direction of the Quality Supervisor, Laboratory or designee, and with the objective of maintaining high Quality Laboratory Practice and compliance with regulatory requirements, performs chemical and physical analysis of raw materials, in process and finished products. Collect environmental samples according to established procedures. Key Responsibilities: Under Quality Control Laboratory Supervisor general directions and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position: Under Quality Control Laboratory Supervisor and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position: 1. Ensure appropriate tests are performed on raw materials and in-process materials as per applicable procedures. 2. Ensure appropriate documentation of all test methods, calibrations and record retention processes. 3. Confirm the proper inventory of supplies and reagents are available to perform analytical tests. 4. Perform sample testing as required (Ex. water system, manufacturing areas, and bulk products). 5. Keep records of all performed tests following GDP and GMP. 6. Maintain work areas and equipment clean as per applicable procedures. 7. Reports any Out Of Specification (OOS) condition. 8. Coordinates calibration of QA laboratory equipment. 9. Train New Hires on all laboratory procedures and specifications. 10. Attend annual refresher training on spills prevention and RCRA standard. 11. Collect waste, segregate where required and store in designated areas as per applicable procedures. 12. Support validation activities. 13. Comply with all environmental, safety and occupational health policies (i.e., ISO14001 & OSHAS 18001). · Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures · Performs other duties assigned as needed Qualifications Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in science or technical field required. Minimum of two (2) years in a regulated industry are required. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a chemical laboratory, microbiological assays sampling and usage of aseptic techniques is required. Intermediate knowledge of computers. · Knowledge of QSR's and ISO Standards. · Intermediate English communication skills. Spanish is required.
